> New Owner TESTIMONIALS!

TAKING YOUR NEW KITTEN HOME: Kittens are generally Ready to Go to Approved Homes at 12 weeks of age.  All Kittens/Cats Remain Solely Our Property until the day of Pick-up/Delivery.  You MUST bring a Pet Carrier or we will NOT Release the kitten to you.  We Strongly Advise to Keep the New Kitten on the SAME Dry Food, "Purina ONE Healthy Kitten" until at least 5 mos. old, as switching food can throw the kittens entire digestive system off, causing  diarrhea and even DEATH!  Later on, if you decide to switch food, do it over a period of 5 Days at 20% of the new food added
per day. By Purchasing a kitten from us,
You Agree toKeep it INDOORS ONLY
- Must Not be Allowed to Roam Freely
Outside!
You also agree Not to Declaw, as
not only is this your kittens only means of
defense, the tip of each bone and end of each
toe is actually removed in the declawing
procedure, then the tip of the toe is Glued
Back on - not always on the same toe or
in the same place as before!
  Declawing can
also permanently alter the personality of
your kitten/cat.

Each and every kitten in our care receives an unlimited amount of group playtime with their littermates,  along with a consistent introduction of new toys to keep  their minds stimulated, as well as to challenge their motor skills and allow for more than adequate exercise.  They also receive an abundance of love and affection during one-on-one attention and interaction with our family members, and individualized care to meet kitten-specific needs.  If we believe a kitten not to be as social as we prefer (for their future owners), we specifically spend extra one-on-one time with that particular kitten until he/she is completely comfortable around people.  We make certain that no kitten is left behind in any area, including weight gain; if a kitten is not eating as much as his/her littermates, in addition to his/her mother’s milk, we personally feed that kitten milk-replacement formula plus a high-calorie supplement until he/she catches up to the others.  When weaning them from their mother, we feed them small kibbles of dry kitten food soaked in warm kitten weaning formula.  Once the kittens are completely on solid food, we allow 2 additional weeks with their mother, so that she can start to teach them how to use the litter-box – new owners really appreciate that!  "Cat Attract" Litter Additive can really help with training, just add it to the litter.  Place your New Kitten in the litter-box each time after eating or drinking, to continue with what your kitten's mother started teaching him/her.

Congratulations on your new Bengal Kitten and Best Wishes as he/she becomes a member of your family!  Although you are excited to have this wonderful new addition, please be considerate of how the kitten may be feeling, as he/she will generally experience some fear or anxiety about his/her unfamiliar, new surroundings for a few days or even up to 2 weeks; too much noise, activity, or interaction with the new family right away can be very overwhelming for a small kitten!  With that in mind, please plan to bring your new kitten home when:  your house is quiet and there is not a lot of commotion, you do not have company, your routine is normal, you will be home and  are not leaving on vacation.  Your kitten will feel more at ease if you start him/her off in a small room, i.e. a bathroom, with a litter box, food, water, and a comfortable bed; you can even use a cardboard box with sides and simply cut an opening in one of them for a door, add a fluffy towel or blanket. If your new kitten shows signs of homesickness, place a hot water bottle (102 degrees) or a heating pad (low setting) under the bedding material along with a ticking clock and a small (kitten-sized) stuffed animal in the bed with him/her.  Be sure to allow your new kitten plenty of time to get comfortable there before letting him/her explore the rest of the house or meeting other pets.  A Word of Caution!:  More important than Food, it's Extremely Important to KEEP YOUR NEW KITTEN WARM!!  During the Cold Winter Months, many people opt for alternative methods of heating their homes; Do NOT Use  PROPANE, KEROSENE, or CERAMIC Heaters near a kitten - it Will KILL Them.  The room may be properly ventilated for human use, but not for a kitten which is considerably smaller and therefore highly susceptible to carbon monoxide - which is low to the floor, so, be sure to place a Carbon Monoxide Detector Within 1' from the floor when you have pets!  To keep your kitten warm, we recommend using an electric Heating Pad on the LOW Setting under 1 Thick or 2 Medium-weight towels  OR use one of the "EdenPURE" Quartz Infrared Portable Heater (Suarez Corporation) - Pet Safe!

It is important that you keep your new kitten on the SAME Premium Kitten Food that he/she has been eating - “Purina ONE Healthy Kitten Formula Dry Food 3x per day (every 7 1/2 hours).  We have compared many brands - label after label, and have determined the ingredient label of Purina One to be equivalent to, or better than Iams Kitten with the cost generally being 30 percent lower.  Poor quality pet foods may appear to be a bargain, but do not provide an adequate amount of the ingredients that a kitten needs in order to maintain good nutritional health and are vital to their growth.  Poor quality foods also produce a lot more waste in the litter box, as the kitten actually needs to eat much more of the low quality food to obtain the same amount of nutrients.  If you do decide to switch pet food formulas, do it over 4 or 5 days, starting with 75% of the current food and 25% of the new food – increasing the amount by 25% every 1 or 2 days.  Cats are carnivores by nature, so a diet high in protein is mandatory – especially for Bengals, which are Much More Muscled and Athletic than other domestic cats!  Most Importantly, supplement their diet with CHICKEN or TURKEY - Either Ground Raw OR Shredded Cooked.  RECIPE: 1 lb. Meat, 4 cups cooked Rice, 4 Eggs, 1/4 cups grated Carrots or other Vegetable.  Feed Raw or spread on a cookie sheet and Bake 20 mins. at 350 degrees.  ...If you must feed canned wet food [not recommended with Tainted Pet Food still found on store shelves - months after the recall!!], then use Newman's or “Friskies Savory Shreds Chicken & Salmon Dinner In Gravy" 1x per day, or at least every other day.  Do not give your cat human food or table scraps.  Information on NATURAL DOG & CAT NUTRITION.

Additional Info:  To Add Weight quickly to your kitten, give 1 teaspoon (1 Tablespoon for cat) of Shredded Full Fat Cheddar Cheese 1x per day.  A Loose Stool can be a serious issue in a kitten, give 1 teaspoon (1 Tablespoon for cat) of Canned Pumpkin or Plain/Vanilla Full Fat
Yogurt 1x per day - if the condition persists, contact your vet immediately!  Yogurt should Always be given after a kitten or cat has been on any type of Anti-Biotics, as it normalizes the G.I. tract.

Never use Hard-Clumping Litter For Kittens, as it can become ingested when it gets into their food dish or they lick it off their paws, clog their intestines and KILL them!  *We use Corn-based "Arm & Hammer Essentials" in the Orange BAG, but any Natural Litter is fine until the kitten gets Big Enough (6-9 mos.) to use the Boxed Arm & Hammer Hard-Clumping Litter.  We prefer Arm & Hammer brand, because instead of just covering up the odor with a "Pretty Scent," Arm & Hammer Eliminates Odor!!  We buy it at both Target and Walmart, but usually Target, because Walmart doesn't carry the Dry Food (Purina ONE Healthy Kitten).  Instead of "High Performance," it's now called Arm & Hammer "Essentials" and they have changed the look of the bag somewhat, but as long as it's Arm & Hammer in a BAG, it's the right one!  Other Good Natural Litters:  Wheat-based "SwheatScoop" in the White & Yellow Box, OR Pine-based "Feline Pine" in the Green Box or large Bag - Ground or Pellets.  WE USE

ExquisiCat® Enviro-Friendly Pine Cat Litter
FOR ALL KITTENS AND CATS.

Helpful Tips for Kittens and Cats:

  • Bengals can be happy indoors if they have a companion pet, toys, scratching posts, window shelves and lots of attention from you.
  • You might be able to train your Bengal cat to walk on a leash or harness - but watch out for dogs.
  • Hold your Bengal cat with one hand under his chest and the other hand under his back legs, keeping it close to you.
  • Play with your Bengal cat or kitten with toys, not your hands, which can encourage biting and aggressiveness. If your cat bites, blow in her face before pulling your hand away.
  • Reward your Bengal cat when she does good instead of using physical punishment when she's bad. Physical punishment will only make her afraid of you or cause her to act out when you're away. A loud noise or squirt of water can help stop bad behavior.
  • The outdoors poses many possible dangers including fights, disease, getting lost, traffic, hypothermia, traps or the possibility of being stolen.
  • Small objects such as buttons, needles, shoelaces and tinsel can be hazardous if your Bengal cat eats them.
  • Keep household cleaning chemicals and medication in places safe from your Bengal cat's curiosity.
  • Certain plants, such as poinsettias, can be fatal for your Bengal cat, as can the water at the bottom of your Christmas tree.
  • Take uneaten food away from a Bengal kitten after ten minutes - overeating can cause diarrhea or vomiting.
  • Your Bengal cat can be strangled or suffocated by plastic bags with handles.
  • Give your Bengal cat its own "garden" (from a pet store or vet) so it won't eat your plants, which can be poisonous. Or, to prevent plant eating, place cedar blocks or hot chili peppers on the soil, or hang the plants out of your Bengal cat's reach.
  • Hide all electrical wires, otherwise your Bengal cat could chew on them and get hurt.
  • Keep toilet lids down, or your curious Bengal cat could fall in, or drink the water.
  • Make sure your window screens are secure - cats don't always land on their feet, and they don't have much depth perception.
  • If your Bengal cat refuses to use a clean litter box see your vet - it could mean a health problem.
